Sauna Sessions: The Reset Your Body Actually Needs

9/15/2026

If you have been feeling stretched thin lately, tight shoulders, restless sleep, skin that just looks tired, you are not alone. Fall is sneaking up on us and with it comes busier schedules, and that is exactly the kind of season where a sauna session earns its keep. Today we are talking all about sauna therapy: what it actually does for your body, what it feels like to book one with us, and why it might be the easiest self care win you add to your week.
WHAT SAUNA THERAPY ACTUALLY DOES
Let's get past the "it's just a hot room" idea, because there is real physiology happening in there. When you sit in a sauna, your body temperature rises and your heart rate picks up a bit, similar to a light workout. Your blood vessels widen, which gets circulation moving to your muscles and skin. That is the mechanism behind a lot of the benefits people talk about:
  • Muscle and joint relief. The heat relaxes tight muscles and can ease everyday aches, which is why so many people pair a sauna session with or right after a massage.
  • Stress relief. Heat exposure triggers your body to release endorphins, the same feel good chemicals you get from exercise. Fifteen to thirty minutes in the sauna can genuinely take the edge off a hard week.
  • Better sleep. A lot of clients tell us they sleep deeper on the nights they come in for a session. The drop in body temperature after you leave the sauna mimics the natural temperature dip your body goes through before sleep, which can help you fall asleep faster.
  • Skin benefits. Sweating opens up your pores and helps clear out the buildup of oil and dead skin cells sitting on the surface. It is not a replacement for a good facial, but it is a nice complement to one, especially if you already do facials with us and want to keep that glow going between appointments.
  • Circulation and recovery. If you work out regularly, sit at a desk all day, or are just generally sore, better blood flow means your body can deliver oxygen and nutrients to tired muscles more efficiently, which supports faster recovery.
  • A gentle detox effect. Sweating is one of the ways your body naturally flushes things out. It is not a magic cleanse, but it is a legitimate part of how your body regulates and releases.

WHAT IT IS LIKE TO BOOK A SAUNA SESSION WITH US
We kept this simple on purpose. You can book a 30 minute session for $30 or a 60 minute session for $60, whichever fits your schedule and how much heat you are in the mood for. First timers usually start with 30 minutes and work up from there once they know how their body responds.

Here is something new: we added a TV to the sauna room. So if you want to sit back and watch something while you sweat it out, you now can. It is a small change but it makes the whole experience feel a lot less like a chore and a lot more like an actual break in your day.

The room fits two people comfortably, and if you bring a friend, their spot is free. Seriously, grab a friend, sister, or coworker and make it a thing you do together. A lot of our regulars turn their sauna time into a standing weekly date with someone, and honestly that is one of our favorite things to see happen in that room.

PAIRING SAUNA WITH OTHER SERVICES
Sauna sessions work really well on their own, but they also play nicely with the rest of what we offer. Some of our clients like to do a sauna session before a massage since the heat pre relaxes the muscles Erykah is about to work on. Others prefer sauna after a facial, since the light sweat can help products absorb and just extends that fresh skin feeling. And if you are someone who alternates between sauna and red light therapy, know that both rooms now run on the same simple pricing, 30 minutes for $30 or 60 minutes for $60, and our red light sessions include salt therapy as well.

There is no wrong way to build your routine here. Some people come in for one service a month, some come in weekly. What matters is finding a rhythm that actually fits your life, not someone else's idea of self care.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT A REGULAR THING
If sauna is going to become a regular part of your routine rather than an occasional treat, our monthly wellness membership tiers are worth a look. We offer 4 sessions a month for $100, 8 sessions a month for $185, or 12 sessions a month for $250, and those credits can be used across sauna and red light therapy however you like. It takes the guesswork out of budgeting for it and it usually works out to real savings if you are coming in regularly anyway.

WHO SHOULD TRY SAUNA THERAPY
Honestly, most people can benefit from it, but it is an especially good fit if you deal with regular muscle tension, you are training for something and need better recovery, you struggle to wind down and sleep well, or you just want a low effort way to build a little more calm into your week. As always, if you have any health conditions or concerns, it is worth checking with your doctor before starting sauna sessions, but for most people this is a genuinely low risk, high reward kind of habit to build.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU GO
There is no single right answer here. Some people do great with one session a week, others prefer two or three shorter sessions spread out. If you are new to it, start with one 30 minute session and see how your body responds over the next day or two. From there you can adjust up or down based on how you feel. This is exactly why we built the membership tiers the way we did, so you have room to experiment without worrying about the cost every single time.

WHY FALL IS A GOOD TIME TO START
As the weather starts to shift, it is common to feel a little more sluggish, a little more tense, and a little more prone to catching whatever is going around. This is exactly the season where building a sauna habit pays off. The warmth is a nice counter to cooler mornings and evenings, the circulation boost helps your body keep up with the busier fall schedule most of us fall into, and carving out even thirty minutes to sit somewhere quiet with your phone down does more for your stress levels than people expect. If you have been meaning to build a wellness habit before the holidays hit and everything gets chaotic, now is genuinely a smart time to start.

A FEW QUESTIONS WE GET A LOT
  • Do I need to bring anything? Just yourself, a towel if you prefer your own, and water to sip afterward. We keep the room stocked and ready so you do not have to plan around it.

  • Can I do sauna the same day as a facial or massage? Yes, and a lot of clients do exactly that. Just let our front desk know when you book so we can space your appointments in a way that feels good rather than rushed.

  • Is it safe to do every week? For most healthy adults, yes. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, or are managing any other health concern, check with your doctor first, but for the average person, weekly sauna sessions are a completely reasonable habit to build.

  • What if I do not like the heat right away? That is normal, especially your first time. Start with 30 minutes, sit near the door if that helps you feel more comfortable, and know that most people warm up to it, literally and figuratively, after a session or two.

THE BOTTOM LINE
Sauna therapy is not a trend, it is one of the oldest, simplest forms of self care there is, and we just made it a little easier to enjoy with the new TV, straightforward pricing, and a room built for two. Whether you are chasing better sleep, faster recovery, calmer stress levels, or just an excuse to sit down and do nothing for thirty minutes, this is a low lift way to take care of yourself.

READY TO BOOK
If you have been putting off giving yourself a real break, this is your sign. Book a 30 or 60 minute sauna session, bring a friend since their seat is free, and settle in with the TV while your body does what it naturally knows how to do.

You can book directly through our online scheduling, and if you have any questions about which session length or membership option makes sense for you, just reach out. We are always happy to help you figure out what fits your routine best.
